Open Order Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 August 2026

Jenius Tech provides Open Order, a restaurant operations and ordering service. This policy explains how Open Order handles information in its web app and Android Trusted Web Activity.

Information we handle

Account information may include username, email address, first and last name, and optional phone number and address. Authentication credentials and account profiles are managed by Jenius authentication. Open Order also handles restaurant information, staff roles, menus, floor and table layouts, orders, order items, statuses, and related operational records that authorised users create while using the service.

The app stores limited settings on the device, such as the selected restaurant, display preferences, authentication session data, and local bridge pairing configuration. Connection and security logs may include timestamps, network addresses, and diagnostic details. Open Order does not use advertising identifiers and does not serve third-party ads.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate users, enforce restaurant access, process and synchronise orders, provide restaurant-management features, maintain security and reliability, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Information is available to authorised members of the relevant restaurant and is processed by infrastructure providers that host Open Order and Jenius authentication. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the service, or others. Providers are permitted to process information only to deliver their services to us.

Account and data deletion requests

To request deletion of your Open Order account and associated personal data, email invoicesjeniustech@gmail.com from the address associated with your Jenius account. Use the subject “Open Order account deletion request” and include your username. An administrator will verify the request before removing the central Jenius account and the Open Order profile and access records linked to it.

Deletion removes the account profile, restaurant memberships, and other personal data that is not required for an overriding legal or security purpose. Restaurant orders, receipts, payment records, audit logs, and related operational records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legal obligations. Those retained records are access-restricted and kept only for the applicable legal or operational retention period.

Retention and control

Restaurant operational records are retained while needed to provide the service and meet legitimate business or legal requirements. Users can update supported account-profile fields in Open Order. Account removal is handled manually by an administrator; use the process above to request access, correction, or removal where applicable. Device settings can be cleared by signing out, clearing site data, or uninstalling the Android app.

Security and international processing

We use access controls and encryption in transit to protect information. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Children

Open Order is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will publish the revised effective date on this page. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to invoicesjeniustech@gmail.com.
